Labor day weekend! Yay! Our first family vacation together. From wineries, countryside back roads, hiking in the mountains, and unique restaurant joints. Billy really enjoyed the trip and loves the outdoors.

This three day weekend definately went by fast! What a good time!

The vacation that Chris and I have been waiting for. Stayed at the wonderful Atlantis Resort, romantic dinner at the Seafire Steakhouse, the clear beach, hanging out at Potters Cay Dock & Arawak Cay with the locals, great seafood and beer. What more can I asked for? I am well relaxed and I think we’ve found our favorite vacation spot.

If you plan on visiting the Bahamas, make sure to stay at the Atlantis! Everyone has got to experience this magnificent resort. A bit pricey, but worth the stay! Chris and I had a blast!!

Vacation at The Greenbriar Resort

Finally! Our Vacation for the year has arrived. This was a last minute decision made on the road to West Virginia. Chris mentioned The Greenbriar Resort (White Sulphur Springs, WV) and knew that I would like this place. He’s had friends go there and enjoyed their stay. When we arrived, I was in awe! This place is gorgeous, not to mentioned the polite/helpful staff. We were able to do everything at the resort. We hiked, I ran the beautiful golf course, watched a movie at the theatre, indoor poolside was available, extravagant restaurants (which required a dress code), took advantage of the spa, bowling, shopping, relaxed outside, tea time, casino/gambling, and more!

I couldn’t stop taking pictures. This place is amazing! Rest? Definately! We will be returning… hopefully soon!

Here is a little history of the place:

The Greenbrier is an award-winning resort. As a National Historic landmark, The Greenbrier’s classic architecture, exquisite interior design (by designer: Dorothy Draper), sculpted landscape, impeccable service and outstanding amenities have hosted distinguished guests from around the world since 1778. This grand dame of hospitality has welcomed kings and queens, presidents and politicians, luminaries and celebrities from all corners of the globe. During the Cold War, The Greenbrier was home to a secret “bunker” intended to house Congress in the event of an attack. This renowned property offers 721 rooms, including 33 suites and 96 guest and estate houses. Also the PGA Golf 2010 (July) will be held here.

Vacation in the Caribbeans, Jamaica!

Chris and I decided to go to Jamaica. We’ve been wanting to take a Caribbean trip for the longest time and thought this month would be ideal and the only time we can take it. We had such a wonderful time! Chris and I was able to relax and enjoy the beautiful beach. We also went out of the resort and ventured to the country to meet the locals. Sometimes tourists can be overwhelming and annoying. We wanted to get to know the intimate side of Jamaica!

Everyone was welcoming and nice. Not to mention the great food! I can tell you this… Jamaicans are VERY proud of their heritage and I was glad to capture it! Sure, we’ve experienced the bad-which was the aggressive hustlers selling souvenirs, but you will get that everywhere you vacation out of country. But overall, the trip was fun and I would love to go back.
